This year, TEDxUCIrvine presents our Salon Event: "What Does It Mean to Love?". The topic delves into the intricate tapestry of emotions, from the euphoria of romance to the selflessness of compassion. Through thought-provoking discussions, TEDxUCIrvine wants to provide a creative forum for people who want to challenge perceptions and celebrate the universal language that binds us all.

Due to the intimate nature of this event, audience members will get the opportunity to discuss their definitions of love and reflect on how it may change over the course of the event. Relevant talks will also be played to see how past TED speakers have defined love and their relationships. This is a very casual, tight-knit event compared to our annual spring conference that will occur in May.

This salon event will occur on Tuesday, February 13th from 6-8pm at the Crystal Cove Auditorium in UCI's Student Center. Food and drinks will be provided. This event is FREE, but capacity is limited to 50 people! Register now at this link to claim your spot.

Have you ever thought about how different generations often have contrasting opinions on societal and global issues? These generational differences can have both positive and negative impacts on society, and sometimes it may seem impossible to bridge these generational differences. TEDxUCIrvine welcomes you to attend our Salon Event, “Bridging Generational Differences,” to watch and listen to inspiring TED talk videos and have an open discussion of how we can overcome what seems to be the far separation between different generations— along with some snacks of course! Join us at the ANTrepreneur center on Thursday, March 2nd from 6-8pm, and there will be a Zoom option available.

This workshop is dedicated to help transforming a one-sentence idea into a five to ten-minute speech, going over the fundamentals of writing a speech and blocking it.

creative idea. This workshop should provide a framework for the DOs and DONTs to create a
thesis worth sharing with the world.

Countdown is a global initiative to champion and accelerate solutions to the climate crisis, turning ideas into action. This virtual event invites leading thinkers and doers to share effective, evidence-based ideas for creating a zero-emission future. The goal of this global gathering is to identify the bold solutions that can be activated when people break out of their silos and rise to the challenge.
